It's not so amaaaaaazing that National Donut Day is almost upon us. It occurs every year on the first Friday in June. What is amazing is that our very favorite Tennesseaan-turned-Angeleno, Huell Howser, is celebrating the big day with a trio of donut-themed episodes on his show, California's Gold.

Huell did a donut episode last night, in tonight's episode he'll be visiting Donut Man and his legendary strawberry donuts and he has one more donut episode slated for tomorrow. (Schedule here.)

If you were a big fan of Grace's annual Donut Day, you can still celebrate the holiday at chef-partner Neal Fraser's other restaurant. On Friday night only, beginning at 5 p.m., BLD will offer it's once-a-year donut tasting menu. This year, the flavors include blueberry ricotta with maple syrup, BBQ pulled pork and a banana cream pie donut.
